New seasons of ‘Chicago’ series premiere Wednesday night

“Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire”, and “Chicago P.D.” are all returning

Get ready for an action-packed lineup of new episodes of some of your favorite shows on NBC prime time. Wednesday nights will be filled with drama again when the new seasons of “Chicago Med”, “Chicago Fire” and “Chicago P.D.” start Wednesday night.

“Live In The D” host Tati Amare got the chance to talk with some of the stars of the series ahead of the season premiere of the shows.

The new season of “Chicago Med” will include two new cast members.

“One of them in particular is going to inject a lot of tension into the leadership structure of the ER,” said Oliver Platt who plays Dr. Daniel Charles on the show. “This person comes in and they just start rolling grenades right away, and so before even a casualty comes in the door, it’s already pretty tense.”

Next up in the night’s lineup will be “Chicago Fire”, which has a plot that involves a big shakeup with a new chief in Firehouse 51. The characters have to adapt to the new energy and leadership style, explained Daniel Kyri who plays the role of Darren Ritter on the show.

The night of season premieres will wrap up with the first episode of season 12 of “Chicago P.D.” Actress Amy Morton plays the role of Desk Sgt. Trudy Platt on the show, and she called the season premiere a, “Hell raiser.”

All of the action starts Wednesday at 8 p.m. with “Chicago Med”, then it’s “Chicago Fire” at 9 p.m., and finally “Chicago P.D.” at 10 p.m. on Local 4.
