Fall festivals underway this weekend in the D

There’s plenty to do outdoors if you’re looking to make plans

We are a day away from the weekend, and there’s plenty of events happening for all to enjoy. The fun kicks off today with an event in Downtown Detroit. Decked Out Detroit, in partnership with Shinola Hotel and Parker’s Alley, will present Parker’s Alley in Bloom, as part of Detroit Month of Design. Instagrammable floral installations have been created throughout the alley, and inside businesses as well. There will also be a flower truck, bouquet giveaways, live art, specialty floral themed cocktails and more. The event goes through Sunday in Parker’s Alley.

Next up, the South Lyon Pumpkin Fest rolls in with a full lineup of activities. The fest will feature food and drinks, games, family entertainment, vendors, and dock dogs doing cool water tricks. There will be a parade Saturday morning at 10a. The event runs Friday-Sunday in Downtown South Lyon.

Now over to Clawson for their annual fall festival. The event that’s designed to bring the community together will feature, inflatables, hayrides, and artisan market, bake goods, cider and donuts, and family activities. It’s happening Saturday 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., with a bon fire at dusk at Clawson City Park.

Lastly, the Common Ground’s Birmingham Street Art Fair is happening this weekend. There will be 100 artists, a silent art auction, live music, food, and activities for all ages. The event takes place Saturday through Sunday at Shain Park in Downtown Birmingham.
