September is National Bourbon Heritage Month, and this week a special event in Detroit is sharing the flavors of black-owned spirits.
The Taste of Black Spirits event is an opportunity to sample products from places ranging from Detroit to Florida and London to South Africa, explained event organizer Lazar Favors.
One of the participating brands is Victor George Spirits and Fort Mose’ Bourbon. Founder Victor Harvey mixed up a cocktail during his appearance on “Live In The D”. He made Bourbon Punch, which includes bourbon, mango puree, pineapple juice, lime juice and grenadine.
The Taste of Black Spirits event will be held Saturday, September 28th from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Doubletree Hotel in Detroit. Watch the video above for more information about the event.
