Just in time for Hispanic Heritage Month, there’s a new series highlighting the history of Latinos.
Emmy award winner John Leguizamo is the host of the three-part series called “American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos”. The series focuses on history ranging from empires to significant events and key figures to preserving cultural identity.
Leguizamo shared that he was inspired to tell the history of Latinos after he said he discovered that there was no Latino contributions in the textbooks when his son was doing a history project in the eighth grade.
The second episode of “American Historia: The Untold History of Latinos” will air Friday night on PBS.
