This organization is a pillar for youth in Southwest Detroit

Grace in Action incubates co-ops throughout the community

Grace in Action is a church that also offers the people of Southwest Detroit access to training in screen printing, graphic design, digital literacy and language justice. They have assisted in several worker-owner cooperative businesses including Stitching Up Detroit, Radical Productions, Dulce Detroit and Bridging Languages.

One of the inspiring stories that highlights the impact of Grace in Action is that of Idalis Longoria and her partner Diana Vargas of Bridging Languages. Longoria emphasized the importance of building her own business alongside equal partners and maintaining high work standards. She said Grace in Action provided the necessary resources and support to launch their co-op, which focuses on qualitative translation and interpretation services for organizations, families, and individuals in often marginalized communities in the metro Detroit area.

In addition to incubating Co-ops, Grace in Action also caters to the youth of the community. They provide everything from financial literacy classes to instructions on playing instruments.
