It’s been a fun week already at “Live in the D” with special guest-host actor, comedian, and writer Tim Meadows. During the show, he talked about his upcoming performance at the Flagstar Strand Theatre in Pontiac and how surprised he is when fans show their excitement in seeing him. He said his comedy material comes from an organic place and things that happen in his everyday life. The show is October 12th and more information is available here.
Meadows also talked about the documentary he is featured in, “Will and Harper”. It follows his longtime friend Harper Steele and Will Ferrell on a cross country adventure. Ferrell met Steele when they started working at “Saturday Night Live” the same week 30 years ago. When Harper came out as transitioning from a man two a women, the two decided to go on a cross-country road trip to get reacquainted with each other and the country. Meadows told “Live in the D” host Tati, he’s featured in the movie having dinner with Harper, Ferrell and their fellow “SNL” Castmates. He talked about his relationship with Harper and how she helped create one of SNL’s most iconic characters. Meadows hopes the film will spark important conversations and will be helpful for others to see the importance of support.
Meadows also touched on a nostalgic project, a reunion with Lindsay Lohan in the upcoming Netflix Christmas movie “Our Little Secret.” Fans of “Mean Girls” will surely be excited to see the two of them back on screen together.
There’s more to come from Tim Meadows on “Live in the D” so stay tuned.
