This weekend, the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy will host two exciting events to support the continued enhancement of Detroit’s Riverwalk and green spaces, including the Dequindre Cut. These events promise to bring fun, food, and festivities to the city while benefiting the Conservancy’s mission of improving, maintaining, and expanding these areas.
The main attraction, The Detroit Harvest Fest and Food Truck Rally, will be held October 5th and 6th and will feature a lineup of 50 food trucks. Attendees can enjoy live music from four different stages and family-friendly activities that make this a can’t-miss fall celebration.
But before the main event, adults aged 21 and up can attend a masquerade-themed party at the “Soiree on the Greenway”, Friday October 4th. This preview event is also a fundraiser for the Conservancy. Addison Mauck from the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy told “Live in the D” the Soiree will be a sneak peak of all the festival has to offer and guests will experience the freight yard transformed into a circus with food, refreshments and surprise live performances.
One of the many highlights of the food truck rally will be “Big Bo’s Grill”, which gave a sneak peek of its menu on “Live in the D.” From their popular brisket sliders to honey garlic wings, Big Bo’s promises to bring bold flavors to the festival.
Whether you’re attending with friends, family, or just looking for a fun way to support the Detroit Riverfront Conservancy, these events offer something for everyone.
