The warmer weather seems to be sticking around in Metro Detroit, so if you’re looking to get out and enjoy it, here’s a lineup of fun happenings around the area.
First up, Halloween may be a few weeks away but there’s a frightfully fun event happening at Campus Martius. The Campus Kids Days will have their Halloween Spooktacular. The event will feature trick-or-treating stations, face painting, lawn games, and a costume contest. The event happens Saturday from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Detroit.
Next up, if you love jazz check out the Smooth Jazz Fall Fest featuring Najee, Everette Harp, Paul Jackson, Jazz Funk Soul, Detroit’s own Beth Griffin, Alexander Zonjic, and more. The concert happens Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Fox Theatre.
Now to another concert, this one is free and for all ages. The Louie Lee Show is performing during the Apple Fest in New Boston. Known for his high energy performances, he promises to deliver the same. The performance is Saturday 7 p.m. at Doc’s Ice Cream and Coffee.
Lastly, The Michigan Science Center is heading back to pre-historic times. MISci is unveiling an all new Tyrannosaurs exhibit. Other life sized dinosaurs will also be on display including a Raptor, and a T-Rex skeleton that’s 2 stories tall. The immersive exhibit runs October 7 through January 12, 2025.
