New neighborhood restaurant offers a jazzy vibe

Seafood is their specialty, with a soul flare

There’s a new dining experience on Detroit’s eastside. “So we are Savoy restaurant. We are here with steak, seafood, and all that jazz,” said Melba Dearing, Executive Chef and Co-Owner at Savoy.

She said they offer a fine dining experience that’s affordable, and when guests arrive they are met by a welcoming staff eagerly ready to offer top notch service.

Dearing explains the menu as an, “eclectic American menu with a soul flare.” They offer a variety of dishes, from fish and grits, to surf and turf, to downhome fried chicken.

You’ll see a grand piano as part of the restaurant’s décor, and that’s because they offer live jazz on select evenings.

Savoy is located on West Warren and Cadieux in Detroit’s East English Village neighborhood.
