It is a spooky time of year when there are a lot of things to frighten you, but one thing you don’t need to be scared of is getting a new roof. Mike Harvey, CEO of The Roof Resource, appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about 4 things that can be scary about purchasing a new roof.
First, Harvey talked about the fear when it comes to choosing the right company. He says in many cases people will go on social media, or ask friends, and can get more than 100 suggestions of who to call. With so many opinions it’s tough to know you picked the right company.
Next, he talked about the presentations that go along with picking a roofing company. “What happens is that homeowners have to call and have three to five different companies come out, and then they’re sitting through three to five hours of presentations,” said Harvey. That includes looking at various shingles, various installation processes and different costs.
Speaking of cost, that is the third thing Harvey spoke to saying prices range all over because the house doesn’t change, but shingle selection plays a huge difference and drives up cost. With the roofing resource you pay a flat fee, can save significantly, and pick any shingle you’d like.
