Tigers fans share personal experiences as they prep for playoff home game

Detroiters have long history with Tigers, even attending the team’s last World Series

On Wednesday, as fans lined up in front of Comerica Park waiting to get into a pre-game block party, some reminisced about historic events involving the Tigers.

Denise of Detroit recalled waiting in line to get World Series tickets in 1984. “It was cold. I was in my snowsuit,” she said.

10 years ago, the last time the Tigers made it to the playoffs, Jake from Detroit said he was there. “There’s nothing like playoff baseball in Detroit," he said.

Game 3 in the playoff series against the Cleveland Guardians happens today at 3:08 at Comerica Park in Downtown Detroit.
