Metro Detroit native and actor comes home for a scary meet and greet

Marty Klebba says his career took off after ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’

He’s best known for his role in the movie “Pirates of the Caribbean”, but Troy native Marty Klebba has more than 100 credits to his name on IMDB. The actor is back home this weekend in Metro Detroit for a special meet and greet in Westland. It’s happening at Eloise Asylum this evening for their Fandom Friday. Klebba appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about being back home and his career.

“I’m a Detroiter," said Klebba. “I always look for a reason to come up. So, whether it’s the holidays, a football game, the Tigers, I was at the Red Wings' game last night. We’ve got the best sports town in the country."

When asked about his career Klebba said he started acting in high school as a pirate in Peter Pan. “Here I am 40 years later still doing Pirate Stuff.” After working on Broadway for 10 years, he said he moved to Los Angeles to see if he could make it. He said one thing led to another and then “Priates” changed everything.
