Get ready for laughs and family drama when a new season of “Lopez vs Lopez” returns to NBC this week.
George Lopez and fellow cast member Selenis Leyva, who plays the role of Rosie, appeared on “Live In The D” to talk about season three of the show. One of the plot lines for the upcoming season includes planning the wedding for George’s daughter Mayan and her fiancé Quinten.
“It’s a big wedding that George and Rosie are determined to create on their own, and they get a little bit hurt when Mayan and Quinten go off and decide to the money on their own,” Leyva said. “We kind of go in there and destroy all of their plans for a normal moment,” she added.
“George and Rosie definitely are at odds most of the time, but every once in a while they come together and usually those are the moments that the funny really comes out,” Leyva said.
The role of Mayan is played by George’s real-life daughter, which Lopez explained has strengthened their relationship.
“Our relationship has never ever been better, and it’s just a blessing that I get to do this every day and be around people that I love every day as well,” Lopez said.
