The flavors of fall may have you thinking of cider and donuts. When you go to a cider mill it‘s one of the main things that people line up to buy. The two go hand-in-hand like peanut butter and jelly. At Three Cedars Farm in Northville, they‘ve been handmaking their own donuts for years and you could say they’ve perfected the recipe.
“Live In The D” reporter Lauren Turner went inside the kitchen to learn what it takes to make a fresh batch of donuts. Carrie Thomason with Three Cedars Farm explained how they make the treats so quickly. “We have a (machine) that pumps out four donuts at a time, and then we have two other (machines) that pump out two at a time,” said Thomason. Once they go through the fryer, they will get sugared and set to rest.
