Check out these favorite scary movies with a special guest

The actor who plays Michael Myers joins in-studio

Scary movies are synonymous with Halloween and considering James Jude Courtney (Michael Myers) was a guest on the “Live In the D” Halloween episode, cohosts Tati Amare and Greg Russell, and reporters April Morton and Lauren Turner, joined Courtney to discuss their favorites.

First up, James Jude Courtney said aside from the Halloween films, his favorite is the “Terrifier” franchise. The plot centers on partygoer Tara Heyes and her sister who become targets of the enigmatic serial killer known only as Art the Clown, on Halloween night. Courtney noted how much of a fan he is of director/writer Damien Leone.

Movie reviewer Greg Russell took a step back in time with his favorite. He picked the 1932 film “Frankenstein” directed by James Whale which is based on the book by Mary Shelley. Russell reminisced about watching it for the first time with his dad.

Next, Lauren Turner chose “The Conjuring” as her favorite. The film, directed by James Wan, is the true story of paranormal investigators helping a family who are being terrorized by an entity in their home. Turner says the draw is the fact that it is based on the real findings of Ed and Lorraine Warren.

April Morton, “Live in the D’s” resident horror film aficionado, said her favorite scary movie is “The Entity”. The film follows a single mother in Los Angeles who is tormented by an invisible poltergeist like demon in her home. Morton said she has a list of favorites but “The Entity” takes the cake.

Tati said her favorite is “The Sixth Sense”. The 1999 film centers on a young boy who claims to see dead people. She said it may not be scary to all, but it is to her.
