Movie reviewer Greg Russell not only cohosted “Live in the D” this week, but he also took time to break down a few movies you can see this weekend.
First up, “Here” is a film about multiple families and a special place they inhabit. The story travels through generations, capturing the most relatable of human experiences. Tom Hanks, Robin Wright and director Robert Zemeckis reunite for the first time since the iconic “Forrest Gump”
Russell notes the impressive CGI in the film but gives it only 2 1/2 out of 5 reels
Next, a new documentary about the man who has written the most famous scores for movies. The documentary, “Music by John Williams” takes an in-depth look at Williams’ countless contributions to film, including many iconic franchises, as well as his music for the concert stage and his impact on popular culture.
Russell gives “Music by John Williams” 4 out of 5 reels
Finally, a series out on “Brit-Box” called “Passenger” is about a close-knit community that is sent spinning on its axis following a series of strange and unnatural crimes. Russell sat down with the lead actors who detailed a little more about what viewers can expect from the series.
