As we head into the holiday season, you know it will be filled with gatherings and celebrations. When you go someone’s house, should you bring a gift?
Mary Liz Curtin, the owner of the shop Leon & Lulu in Clawson, believes you should always bring a gift for the hostess.
“You don’t want to bring something that’s going to require the host to do something,” Mary Liz said. “Do not bring her a mountain of flowers that she has to arrange. Don’t bring her a a pie and ice cream that she has to figure out how to incorporate into her dinner.”
Instead, Mary Liz suggests bringing something for the hostess’ children or pets. Another recommendation she shared was cookbooks. The shop owner also suggests giving the hostess something that they can eat later, such as fancy popcorn.
