A big event happening this weekend has many excited, but the fall edition on Motor City Comic Con isn‘t the only thing going on. Here’s a few events that can be enjoyed by all ages, in and around Detroit.
First up, get a little taste of nostalgia at a brand new exhibit. The Toy Town exhibition at the Detroit Historical Museum will feature dozens of vintage toys from the 1800s through the 90s. The exhibition is opening in conjunction with the release of a brand new Detroit edition of the classic Monopoly board game. The exhibit runs, November 9th through January 5th.
Next, he’s a character loved by many and now Shrek is coming to a stage in metro Detroit. “Shrek Jr. The Musical” will feature actors from the Farmington Hills youth theatre and will take the audience on a journey through the swamp. Performances run through Sunday at the Hawk in Farmington Hills.
Lastly, all aboard the Holly Trolley. The two crimson trolleys return this weekend in Downtown Detroit, just in time to kick off the holiday season. The cars will offer free rides to five festive destinations throughout Downtown Detroit. The rides runs now through January 5.
