He’s friends with Snoop Dogg and you can see him live this weekend

His life took him from Detroit to Death Row and back

His career started at the age of 17 with The Dramatics and decades later he’s still sharing his music with fans. Tony “T. Money“ Green will be at The Magic Bag in Ferndale this Friday evening and before the show he stopped by ”Live In The D" to talk about his music and the story of his life.

Green says after spending years with The Dramatics, he ended up meeting with Dr. Dre and that took him to Death Row Records. “I don‘t know. I took a trip to California, and the rest was history. I got with Dr. Dre and had the chance to audition for him and it was all said and done after that,” said Green. He’s also good friends with Snoop Dogg and has continued a deeper friendship over the decades.

Green is a bass player musician and says he loves the instrument because it holds down the track. In the end he says it holds everything together when you hear a song.

A new book about Green’s life in music shares his stories over the years, and his various experiences. You can hear more about that, and hear Green play his song “I Believe In You”, by clicking the video player above.
