Thanksgiving weekend is always a popular time for movies and there are a few options both at the cinema and streaming.
Movie reviewer Greg Russell stopped by “Live in the D” for “Reel Talk” to give his thoughts on “Moana 2″, “Beatles ‘64″ and “Buy Now”.
Moana and Maui are together again to try and save the ancestors. Russell says “Moana 2″ is a great film for the kids but there are a few scenes that leave audiences guessing. He gives it 3 1/2 out of 5 reels.
Over on Disney Plus is the documentary “Beatles ‘64″. The film documents the cultural impact of the Beatles on the United States in the aftermath of their first three-week visit to the country in February of 1964. Russell, being a major Beatles fan, says the series was great and will be most appealing to baby boomers.
Finally, the documentary “Buy Now” on Netflix. The film pulls back the curtain on the world’s top brands, exposing the hidden tactics and covert strategies used to keep all of us locked in an endless cycle of buying, no matter the cost. Russell gives this movie 4 out of 5 reels.
