This program helps Detroit entrepreneurs' dreams come true

Learn how you can receive a grant for your business

The holiday season is a time for wishes, dreams, and the hope of seeing them come true. For Detroiters with aspirations of starting or expanding a business, there’s a program in the city that could make those dreams a reality.

In partnership with Detroit for Life, the Motor City Match program provides grants and resources to help entrepreneurs bring their visions to life. Whether you’re in the early stages of planning or ready to launch, Motor City Match offers support to help businesses go “from idea to open,” says program director Madison Schilling.

A great example of the program’s impact is Annette Anderson, a Detroit native who appeared on “Live in the D” alongside Schilling and Ilya Hardey, Creative Director for the City of Detroit. Anderson shared her journey of starting a successful healthcare business with the help of Motor City Match.

The program offers a comprehensive approach, including grants, business planning assistance, and connections to local resources, ensuring that Detroit entrepreneurs are equipped for success.

With the holidays reminding us that wishes can come true, there’s no better time to take that first step toward making your business dreams a reality.
