Her artistic journey has gone from the stage, to the screen, and even the art canvas. LuLu Fall, stopped by โLive in the Dโ to chat about it, and give a special performance.
โIt feels good for me to be a versatile artist, not just because I have to be, but I just so happen to be good a quite a few things,โ Fall said.
The career of the Washington, DC native, now living in Detroit, spans from Broadway productions to solo performances, to her current role as Artistic Director for Detroit 313.
Fallโs music is described as a fusion of Jazz and Broadway, and she said she gets her inspiration from legends like Sara Vaughn and Billie Holiday. She also draws inspiration from her African roots.
She performed her single โBlack and Proudโ a song she co-wrote after watching a Quincy Jones documentary.
