A trick to testing your health

A simple lift that can tell you a lot

As you age, finding workouts that adapt to your age while giving you an indication of how your health is can be tough. The farmer’s lift, a simple workout, can help you with daily activities such as carrying groceries or just making sure you’re saying fit.

“What they discovered is there is a direct correlation between grip strength and overall body strength. Now think about this; a strong grip does not exist in isolation. If you have a strong grip, you’re going to have forearm, a strong bicep, a strong tricep, and a strong shoulder.” said Jody Trierweiler.

The workout consists of taking dumbbells that are 75% of your body weight for women, and 100% of your body weight for men, then walking with them for one minute. It’s recommended you build up weight gradually if you’re new to exercising.
