From being an award-winning actress to even publishing her own book, Victoria Rowell has taken on many roles. Now she’s starring in a play coming to Detroit.
“Jason’s Lyric” is becoming a play from the original movie. The story follows two young men who witness the shooting of their abusive father as children and how that event affects them later in life.
“I play Gloria, and where Jason’s Lyric is, it’s a gritty unapologetically sincere story about the ravages of war and post-traumatic stress disorder, and how a single-family mother, Gloria, struggles to keep her family,” said Victoria.
The play will be in Detroit March 6th-8th at the Music Hall. To find out more, click the video above.
