The spring season has finally sprung and there are a few events to help you get ready, plus some other fun happenings.
First up the “Novi Pool and Backyard Show” returns this weekend. Industry professionals will show off the latest products for the best outdoor enjoyment experience. There will be displays of pools, spas, hot tubs, and all things backyard, to help with those outdoor project ideas. The show runs Friday through Sunday at the Suburban Collection Showplace in Novi.
In Dearborn, it’s the “Blossom and Bloom Festival.” This event will not have real flowers, but cool glass blowing of spring inspired art. Guests can watch live demonstrations of artists shaping unique sculptures, and much more. It all takes place Saturday and Sunday at the Glass Academy and Batch Gallery.
The musical “Stomp” makes its way to Macomb County. This international show known for the unique percussions style, using everything but conventional drums - like garbage lids, brooms and more to create an electrifying show - is celebrating 30 years. The performances take place Thursday and Friday at 7:30 p.m., at the Macomb Center for Performing Arts in Clinton Township.
Lastly, as we continue to celebrate women during Women’s History Month, Black Tech Saturdays presents, “Herstory: A Women’s History Month Celebration.” The event will feature 60 women tech founders, tech leaders and entrepreneurs, and will be informative, inspiring and energizing. The event is free and open to the public, with registration. It’s happening Saturday at 12p.m. till 4p.m. at the College For Creative Studies, in Detroit.
