A first date takes a dark and twisted turn in the new movie “Drop” where a woman starts getting threatening text messages while on a date.
The character, Violet, is told to kill her date - and if she doesn’t - her son will be killed instead. The movie follows Violet’s reactions to the instructions laid out for her in the anonymous text messages.
Another option to check out this weekend is the new crime series calling “MobLand”. The star-studded cast includes Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren. Movie Reviewer Greg Russell said “MobLand” is “really interesting and really compelling.”
If you’re looking for something for the kids, there’s a new animated film called “King of Kings”. It’s about author Charles Dickens telling his son the story of Jesus Christ.
Meanwhile, Disney is hoping to score big with animal lovers with its new documentary “Pets”, which is about the bond between humans and animals.
