April is Earth Month and you can help save the planet - and some money too - while decorating your home. Shopping at consignment stores is a way to give new life to furniture and décor without the cost of purchasing brand new items.
Rosemarie Baldwin, the owner of Consign Couture in Clinton Township, explained that she loves consignment and shopping for new trends, so she opened up a shop that combines both consignment and new items. Baldwin said that she gets many items from builders’ model homes.
“I call it heavily viewed, but never used,” she said.
