It doesn’t get any better than a family vacation in Florida, and “Live in the D” wants to help you fly away on vacation. All week, reporter April Morton has featured amazing adventures for families to enjoy, and one truly amazing place to stay. It’s all part of a prize provided by VISIT FLORIDA. Morton visited the heart of Central Florida in Kissimmee, where she went on a drive-thru Safari and an air boat ride. She also enjoyed a 4-course meal fit for a king and queen, and watched knights joust and fight at Medieval Times Dinner and Tournament, and she went on a horseback trail ride at Lazy H Ranch.
The latest activity Morton experienced was checking out sea and wildlife, and she hit some world famous roller coasters, at SeaWorld Orlando. “Above all else, we are a Marine Land Park. You get to see incredible wildlife that you don’t get the chance to see anywhere in the world,” said Jeannette Conrado, Director of Public Relations at SeaWorld Orlando.
In addition to the 9 thrills rides and one-of-a-kind animals and encounters, she said the park has a mission they are fulfilling. “We proudly boast that we have over 41,000 animal rescues,” Conrado said.
That includes manatees. The park not only rescues the vulnerable animals, they treat them at their rescue and rehabilitation center, an area within the park. Guests even have the opportunity to watch animal care specialists as they care for the manatees. It’s one of several up close and personal encounters they offer at the park.
They have a little something for just about everyone. “Whether you’re a small family with kids and want to enjoy our attractions at Sesame Land, or really truly get a thrill, we’re proud to say we’re home to that,” Conrado said.
