New bridal styles get refreshed as trends go beyond wearing white with royal vibes, veil alternatives

Keep your eye out for pops of color

As wedding season arrives, brides will likely showcase some new styles this spring and summer.

Wearing white might be traditional for weddings, but don’t be surprised if you see more colors this season. Blushes and champagnes are trending, along with even bigger pops of color, explained Haley Guyot, the manager of The Wedding Shoppe in Berkeley.

Guyot also discussed other bridal trends, such as Basque waists.

She said this design is being seen in fitted dresses, A-lines, and ballgowns and is “very royal-feeling.”

Bows are another bridal trend this season.

Meanwhile, brides also incorporate accents beyond just on their dresses, such as wearing bridal scarves.

Guyot explained that it’s a different idea from wearing a veil.
