The doors are officially open for the Spring, “Motor City Comic Con.” 6-month
“No matter what kind of pop culture you’re into, there’s something for everyone here,” said Jacob Shuman, with Motor City Comic Con. He said between the fans, vendors and visitors, people go all out, and there’s always a cosplay costume that takes him by surprise.
Throughout the weekend, there will be appearances by several celebrities both from TV and movies. One of those celebrities is actress Malin Akerman, best known for her role as Silk Spectre ll, in the DC Comic hit Watchmen. “It was a 6-month project that took 3 months of preparation,” Akerman said while talking about her iconic superhero role.
In addition to her comic con appearance, she will hold a special Watchmen movie screening and Q & A tonight at 7p.m. at Emagine Novi.
