Get ready for an adventure, and all you have to do is take a seat on your couch and tune into NBC’s new travel competition series called “Destination X”.
The action is heating up on the show where contestants are playing a unique geo-guessing game where they’re trying to figure out their location.
“Essentially think of just a real-life gameboard just played out across Europe,” said Peter Weber, one of the contestants on the show.
Weber explained that every week there’s a specific Destination X, but the contestants don’t know their whereabouts. They go through a series of challenges to try to get information about the destination.
At the end of each week, a certain amount of contestants are sent to the Map Room where they have to make an “X” on the map and hope they’re not the furthest from the accurate location because that person is eliminated.
“It’s all about alliance building, it’s all about using knowledge, winning in challenges to gain clues, but with that comes also the aspect of you never really quite know what you’re getting and if it’s a red herring, if it’s an accurate clue to actually lead you to the correct destination,” he said.
The winner will take home $250,000, if they don’t get eliminated first.
“It’s really one of the most incredible experiences I’ve been a part of,” Weber said.
You can catch all of the action on “Destination X” Tuesdays at 10 p.m. on NBC.
