Strength, determination, and a whole lot of grit -- It’s what you see when contestants compete on “American Ninja Warrior,” and two Michigan athletes are showing off their obstacle course skills on season 17 of the show on NBC.
Ethan Gardulski from Riverview and Philip Scott from Plymouth have each advanced to the semi-finals of the competition.
“There’s no better feeling than hitting the buzzer,” Scott said.
Gardulski said his ninja training has been a great outlet to express himself.
Although they’re both competing on the show, they’re also cheering each other on because Philip is Ethan’s coach.
