Insiders survey results: Mail-in voting gets positive reviews

With the passage of statewide ballot proposal 18-3, all eligible and registered voters in Michigan may now request an absent voter ballot without providing a reason.

That’s more important than ever now with the coronavirus pandemic. We have two elections on the horizon in Michigan: The Aug. 4 Primary and the Nov. 3 General.

We did a quick survey of our Insider members to see how mail-in voting has been going. We had 637 members complete the survey so.

Highlighted results right now:

  • About 80% of respondents either “love” or “like” the mail-in voting process.
  • 76% of respondents were at least “confident” or “very confident” in the mail-in voting process.
  • About 70% of respondents have partaken in mail-in voting before.
