FRASER, Mich. – Police said a 13-year-old student at Richards Middle School in Fraser was running in gym class Thursday when she collapsed.
It is unclear if a medical issue contributed to her death. Two teachers gave aid immediately after the girl collapsed and paramedics were on the scene within a couple of minutes.
The girl died at McLaren Medical Center in Mount Clemens.
Superintendent Dave Richards tells Local 4, he will talk with the girl's family after they have time to grieve and cope with their tragic loss. He says the school had not been given any prior information of prior health issues.

Many found out about it on Facebook.
Someone posted that the girl, whose first name is Sharon, had a seizure and hit her head. However, the Superintendent says the facts are still being gathered including medical history.
