DETROIT – A man is in critical condition after two cars were drag racing on Detroit's west side, police said.
It happened around 8:15 p.m. Saturday at the intersection of W. Chicago and Wyoming.
Police said a black Monte Carlo and another car were drag racing. When the cars came to the intersection, the Monte Carlo hit an SUV, spinning out of control then hitting a light pole and catching on fire.
The 23-year-old driver of the Monte Carlo was listed in critical condition and his 20-year-old passenger was in serious condition.
The 45-year-old driver of the SUV was not hurt.
