DETROIT – About 28,000 people in southeast Michigan are without power due to severe winds, DTE Energy announced.
That number is down from 70,000.

The outages are scattered across the region, although DTE said Wayne County has been hit the hardest.
Crews are working 16-hour shifts to restore power, DTE officials said. A majority of the outages are expected to be restored Wednesday.
