DETROIT – A 38-year-old Detroit man is facing a murder charge in connection with a car crash that killed a mother last week.
Robert Curtis-Bill Denham is accused of slamming into Bernadine Lytle's car at the intersection of Coolidge Highway and Oak Park Boulevard Thursday night.

Oak Park police said the crash happened as Denham was fleeing police after stealing a 1994 Buick LeSabre from an apartment parking lot on Greenfield Road near Interstate 696.

Lytle's 15-year-old daughter remains hospitalized with serious injuries from the crash.
Denham is charged with second-degree murder and carjacking. He is being held without bond.
He is a parolee with an extensive criminal history that dates back to 1990.
