DETROIT – Former Detroit Mayor Kwame Kilpatrick is now in the Dallas/Fort Worth area.
Local 4 caught up with Kilpatrick Wednesday morning as he walked out of a probation office and got into an SUV with his wife. Sources told Local 4 Kilpatrick met his noon deadline to check in with his parole officer and spent more than an hour at the office being fingerprinted and taking a drug test.

On his way out, Kilpatrick declined to comment.
Kilpatrick was let out of a Michigan prison on Tuesday morning, but didn't immediately go to the airport to embark for Texas.
Kilpatrick spent the afternoon at his mother's house on Detroit's west side before slipping out of the state.
He didn't made any public addresses, aside from a released state, but was active on Twitter and Facebook saying he was "just chilling with family" Tuesday afternoon.
The 41-year-old Kilpatrick is free on parole but still faces a federal corruption trial that could send him back to prison.
His wife and three sons live in the Dallas area. Kilpatrick was given a two-year parole term and is being allowed to go be with them.
