PONTIAC, Mich. – The Drug Enforcement Administration said this week that it made what it calls the largest heroin bust in Michigan's history on Friday in Pontiac.
The DEA said Oakland County Sheriff's deputies found 2 kilograms of suspected cocaine in a vehicle during a traffic stop on Friday.

Consequently, the DEA's Detroit office did a follow up investigation. After obtaining a search warrant, DEA agents searched a home on Pike Street in Pontiac where they found 69 kilograms of heroin and 10.5 kilograms of cocaine. The DEA said the drugs hold a street value of about $150 million. More than $560,000 in cash and drug distribution equipment were also seized from the home by the agents, the DEA said.
Federal agents said Juventino Valdovino and Lila Torres-Garcia were arrested in connection with the drug bust. Torres-Garcia had been living at the home on Pike Street. She is from Mexico and was staying in the U.S. illegally, the DEA said.
"The sheer quantity of drugs we confiscated last week in our own backyard is startling," said Oakland County Sheriff Michael Bouchard.
The DEA said there is an ongoing investigation into this drug seizure that is being conducted by both the administration's Detroit office and the Oakland County Sheriff's Office.
