Interim Chief Corey O'Donohue said Hearn had a relationship with Chupick. In March of 2010, O'Donohue said Hearn was arrested for a domestic violence assault on the victim. He also said Hearn has two convictions for home invasion in Livingston County.

"Our job now is to work with the prosecutor's office to obtain a conviction. There is aspects of this investigation that are ongoing," O'Donohue said.
