HIGHLAND PARK, Mich. – A grieving mother is asking for the public's help in finding the person who gunned down her son on Highland Park street earlier this year.
At a press conference Wednesday, Lorrie Bing said she found her son, Deonte, dead in the street just a block from their house on June 8. She said her son had just left on his bike when she heard shots and ran out to see what happened.

Highland Park police said 35-year-old Deshon Boyce is a suspect in the case and they are actively looking for him. Detective Paul Thomas said Boyce should be considered armed and dangerous.
"We would appreciate any tips or information, because we have received reports that he has been seen in the Highland Park area recently," Thomas said.
Through tears, Deonte's relatives said they want justice and closure.
"There were plenty of people out there. I know someone saw something, heard something. I just want someone to speak up, say something so myself and my family can have some sort of closure," Bing said. "If anyone out there knows anything, please call Crime Stoppers and give them a tip.
Bing was a 2008 graduate of Highland Park Community High School. He attended Wayne Community College for a short period.
Crime Stoppers of Michigan is offering a cash reward of up to $1,000 for information that leads to an arrest. If the tip is called in by midnight on Wednesday and leads to an arrest, there will be additional $1,000 reward.
