PONTIAC, Mich. – A 14-year-old student was hospitalized after a possible beating at Brandon Middle School in Ortonville.
He was found unconscious Wednesday with blows to his head and fractures to his body. Another student had found him passed out on a bathroom floor. The boy's nose was bleeding and his left eye was swollen.
Police are investigating whether the boy was beaten by a fellow student.
Oakland County Sheriff's detectives were at Brandon Middle School Wednesday after the victim's family reported that the boy was severely assaulted.
The school superintendent said the school and district are working with Sheriff investigators.
