DETROIT – If you've been looking for Excedrin at the store and can't find it- here's why.
More than a month after a recent recall, the plant in Nebraska that manufactures the pain killer is still shut down. Drug maker Novartis says its working to resume production, but that might not happen until the middle of the year.

Excedrin was recalled because chipped, broken, or stray tablets may have ended up in some of the bottles. It was part of a larger recall that also affected Bufferin, Gas-X, and No-Doz back in January. All because of the same problem.
Regarding the recall, Novartis says: "We believe that a recall as a precautionary measure is in the best interest of the consumers who trust and rely on our products."
