2 men charged after bodies found on Detroit's west side

Victims are 46-year-old woman and 47-year-old man

DETROIT – Two men have been charged with first-degree murder in the deaths of a man and woman whose bodies were found burned on Detroit's west side.

Detroit police said the bodies of 46-year-old Felicidad Tabares of Detroit and 47-year-old David Simard of Westland were found Feb. 27 after a house fire on Proctor was put out.

Police said the two had been killed before their bodies were burned.

It's alleged that 43-year-old Charles Young of Canton and 48-year-old Salim Nafsu of Oak Park killed the two victims during a fight two days prior.

They've also been charged with disinterment and mutilation of a body.
