Wolfgang Puck restaurant closing in MGM Grand

Restaurant will officially close May 13

DETROIT – A restaurant in MGM Grand Detroit Casino is closing its doors for good.

Wolfgang Puck Grille will officially close on Monday May 13, according to the casino. Construction on the new restaurant will start the same day.

"We are constantly tweaking the property based on our patron's tastes. A new exciting restaurant venture will be coming soon and an announcement will be made in the near future," said spokesperson Michael Layne.

Employees at the restaurant tell Local 4 they were notified Friday night of the closure.

Creator Wolfgang Puck is an award winning chef who is known for his signature restaurants across the country. He opened Wolfgang Puck Grille in 2007.
