Liquor allowed in Sterling Heights movie theater

Despite it only costing the hotel a few dollars to rent a movie, it could cost you up to $15.

STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – If you like to watch movies with a drink, you're in luck. Tuesday,  the Sterling Heights City Council voted to allow cocktails in an AMC movie theater. The issue passed 4-3.

The AMC Forum 30 Theater on Mound and Hall Roads is now able to offer cocktails. Theater officials say everyone's ID will be checked and those who can drink will be given wristbands. There will also be different colored cups for alcoholic drinks. The theater wants to get more adult movie-goers.
