DETROIT – Former Detroit mayor Kwame Kilpatrick will return to court Tuesday to try to hash out what a judge calls a conflict of interest between Kilpatrick and his lawyer.
On Monday, Kilpatrick and his attorney, Jim Thomas, filed a motion in federal court in an attempt to explain the problem.
The conflict was brought up last week when the process of questioning began for prospective members of the jury in Kilpatrick's federal corruption case.

It is still not clear what the exact conflict is.
