STERLING HEIGHTS, Mich. – Police are investigating a bank robbery that happened Monday at the Chase Bank on 14 Mile Road west of Schoenherr.

Bank surveillance shows a man entering the bank and presenting a note to the teller.

Police say the note read, "Give me all your money – 20's, 10's, 5's – I know where you work."

The suspect then placed his backpack on the counter and the teller put money into it.

The man, described as white, between the ages of 20 and 30 with a bald or shaven head fled the bank, as the teller hit the alarm.  

Police say a witness chased the suspect over two walls and into an apartment complex, before the robber jumped into a car and drove away.

The vehicle is described as a small and older, dark green SUV with lettering on the windshield.

The suspect was wearing a white ball cap, white t-shirt and carrying a grey and black backpack.
