DETROIT – The popular national outdoor clothing and equipment retailer Moosejaw is opening a store during the holidays in Detroit.
The new shop on Woodward Avenue between Grand River Avenue and State Street opens Thursday. It will remain open through Dec. 22.

Moosejaw has become known for carrying popular outdoor clothing brands such as Patagonia, The North Face and Sorel, among others.
The company is headquartered in Madison Heights. It currently has nine locations -- six in Michigan, one in Illinois, one in Colorado and one in Massachusetts.
The first Moosejaw storefront opened in the early 1990s in Keego Harbor.
