Ashlee Baracy joined the Local 4 News Morning Team as the weekday traffic reporter in December of 2010.

Before joining WDIV, Ashlee was most recognized for being Miss Michigan 2008 where she was featured on the TLC Reality Series: "Countdown to the Crown" and was named a top ten finalist in the 2009 Miss America Pageant. It is safe to say that Ashlee is not camera shy. She started in the business as an intern at FOX 2 News and has since worked as a reporter, writer and television show host for various local cable channels over the last five years.

Although she has a deep love for television, Ashlee's biggest passion is community service. Inspired by her parents who are both cancer survivors, she has played active roles with the American Cancer Society, Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure and Children's Miracle Network. In 2007, Ashlee founded an online support network for "Daughters Supporting Mothers with Breast Cancer;" her charitable work has been recognized by both the YWCA and Miss America Organization.

Ashlee proudly bleeds maize and blue as a graduate of the University of Michigan – Ann Arbor. While pursuing her bachelor's degree, she spent her Fall Saturdays dancing on the sidelines in the Big House as Captain of the Michigan Dance Team. Most recently, Ashlee obtained a Master's of Science degree in Integrated Marketing Communications from Eastern Michigan University with the highest academic standing of summa cum laude.

She is a lifelong metro Detroiter and currently serves as the face of her hometown's marketing campaign "Shop and Dine Westland." In addition, Ashlee is admittedly addicted to shoes and loves sports. Her two favorite professional teams are the Detroit Red Wings and Detroit Tigers. In her spare time, you can find her spending it with her family and the love of her life: her Pekingese dog, Lucy!
